  • Edaqa's Room - "PROTOTYPE: A game master is needed"

Photo above is property of Edaqa's Room Company: Edaqa's Room Game: PROTOTYPE: A Game Master is Needed Country: Germany ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Adventure Date Played: July 23, 2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 6/10 Size of Team: 1-4 Players Time: Unlimited Price: $12.50 "PROTOTYPE: A game master is needed" is a point-n-click digital escape game. Once you purchase the game, the access code can used for up to 4 players. Once you enter the game, you'll be greeted by someone who's looking to hire a new game master at her escape room. Since she had an emergency to deal with, she left in a hurry and locked you inside. As you applied for a game master position, this should be a piece of cake for you right? We played as a team of two over Zoom. The game worked nicely for a collaborative concept. We were able to click and explore on different items and areas. Once one teammate open something, a "ding" sound would alert the other player. If there were items that were discovered, it would be put into our shared inventory basket. The only thing we wished that the inventory system was able to do was to remove items that we had already used. It was confusing at times to not know if we had to use the items again or not. There were a mix of audio, math, logic type of puzzles. The puzzles were non linear and probably medium in terms of difficulty level. If you do get stuck, there's a build-in hint system. There's no time limit on the game, so you can either play in competitive mode by setting your own timer or play in leisure mode. The game designer definitely kept the thought of wanting to create the experience to feel like you were in a real escape room. There's a button where you'll be able to press and "see" where your teammates are in the game (there's many areas to explore). It was nice to discover surprises like hidden areas and secret compartments. One thing we realized that might happen during the game was that when you click on something and it created an alert message, it might cover up another player's screen. If they were working on a puzzle, they might not be able to see parts of it until the message disappears. We hope they'll be able to implement an option to turn the messages off or move the alert elsewhere. We play many escape room app games on our phones and this really reminded us of a similar concept but on PC (Firefox, Chrome, Safari). The highlight for us with this game was the fact that we're able to play it together while solving puzzles separately. We look forward to more of these types of games from Edaqa's Room! Here's our review on their "Prototype: A Game Master is Needed". ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†ˆ Who doesn't want to go to a carnival when it's in town? Especially this one that has a ton of puzzles embedded in the carnival games! We can't wait to win some prizes... Video above is property of Edaqa's Room ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ The game design was similar to their previous game with some improvements. It's a point-n-click format where you'll be able to collect items, open doors and utilize them with each other. You can gather a team of up to 4 people or play alone. When you interact with an item, a sound will occur to alert the other members. You'll need to update your teammate on what you had just solved as that will not display on the screen. The inventory system is synced among the players so that if you collected something your teammates will be able to see it as well. Although you're still able to click on items you've already collected, they added a "used items" category that would signify that item is no longer valuable. Also, there's a hint system build into the game should you need any assistance. Photos above are property of Edaqa's Room ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ The difficulty level of puzzles in this game felt easier than the previous. It had a much better game flow due to some of the implemented changes. Edaqa's Room did a great job with utilizing subtle association of various symbols and clues to lead us to the relevant puzzles. There was a little bit of everything in terms of puzzle types (Math, logic, deduction, etc...). We really enjoyed the 4 Easter eggs that we had to hunt down. If you missed an Easter egg, the game would allow you to go back to find it before hitting the "finish" button. Photos above are property of Edaqa's Room ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ This is a great game for friends and family to enjoy together. The game really bought out the carnival spirit with its colorful graphics, festive music and joyful puzzles. You actually felt the happiness you would feel if you were actually at a carnival. We're able to interact with many items and some even made us chuckle with their silly humor. A team of two was a great number for this game since we didn't have to talk over each other and there was plenty of puzzles to go around. We look forward to more of Edaqa's creations! However, you will need to submit your work report first. Sigh, maybe you will need more coffee as you scramble to finish up your last bit of work. Video above is property of Edaqa's Room ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ "Office" is a point-n-click digital game where you'll be able to collect items, open doors and combine them with each other. It is very similar to their previous offerings, so for returning players you will find everything familiar. There will be an inventory system that shows the items that you have collected. To use the item, you can click on it and attempt to click at the location on where you wish to use it, just like any escape room app game in the past. Although you're still able to click on items you've already collected, once the item has no more 'use', it will be moved to a different category saying 'used' so you know you don't need it anymore. If you get stuck, there is also a hint system that directs you on which area you should focus on first. ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ Compared to their previous games, I thought it would be a similar standard but I was so wrong! There was just so much to do and each puzzle is not straightforward at all. There were a variety of puzzles involved, like pattern recognition, math, logic and even a few 'classic' escape room mobile puzzles like combining/using items. One of my favourite puzzles was in the end game. It may seem daunting at first, but once you can see the logic and pattern, it was so satisfying to see it all click - reminiscent of me checking for errors in a real life work report setting! ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ "Office" really brought out some of the aspects of a working life adult. There are spreadsheets to tackle, coffees to brew, computers to log into and post-it notes to read. Everything interacted, as per Edaqa's Room style had some funny humour in it. What I like most about their games is the smoothness of it and the graphics. Everything looked so zen and peaceful while playing the game. Just note that this game is a little on the difficult side and perhaps would be better if you gather a team of 2 to 4 people. As you visit her to sell some cookies, she asks you to come inside while she grabs her purse. So, you go inside, but you notice there is something strange in her house. Can you figure out what is happening here? Photo above is property of Edaqa's Room ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ This is a free point-n-click game. If you want to play as a team, you can share the link and password that you received with your teammates. It was a great way to experience the essence of what Edaqaโ€™s escape online games feels like. The game website was easy and simple to figure out how to use it. The game had a built-in hint system. Photos above are property of Edaqa's Room ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ First of all, the game was free! Since it was an introductory mini-game, there was only one scene which was a nice ordinary room of an old ladyโ€™s house. I loved that it reminded me of the classic point-n-click games which I think is a great way to introduce what the other games that Edaqa offers are like. The interesting story was nicely combined with the classic style and made this entire game more fun and unique even for a short introductory game. Although it only had a single room to play in, there was a good number of puzzles in the room. I enjoyed the different materials in the room that were used to create a wide variety of puzzles. One of the puzzles was a bit confusing because we could not find any indicator of what to do with it. There were some extra components that had nothing to do with puzzles to escape (I believe it is added for fun) also confused us. Other than that, most of the puzzles were straightforward. Overall, it was a fun experience. ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ "Cookies" was a fun point-n-click puzzle game. Donโ€™t underestimate it just because it is a free game. There was a good amount of puzzles and an interesting story to enjoy. This game is a great introductory game to know what Edaqaโ€™s Room can offer. So, why donโ€™t you visit the old lady and try the tasty โ€œCookies"? • Complex Rooms - "S.B.A.S.E Force"

Photos provided by Complex Rooms Inc. Company: Complex Rooms Inc. Game: S.B.A.S.E. Force Country: Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Sci-Fi Date Played: 6/27/2020 Difficulty (based on 4 players): 6/10 Size of Team: 1-4 Players Time: Unlimited Price: $15 + HST / Ticket "S.B.A.S.E. Force" is a digital point and click game. The story is based on an abandoned space control station. Our mission was to unlock the mysterious door and discover the secrets within. This is a collaborative style type of game. There are 4 space control stations with different information on each of the boards. If you purchase one access code, you'll have to distribute the PDF printouts to your teammates. In this type of play, only one person will need computer access to enter the answers once the group figures them out. If you don't have 4 people, the game does allow you to move from station to station so 2 people can each manage 2 stations and still be able to play the game. It will probably make the game a bit harder but since there's no time limit, you can complete the game at your own pace. A final report will be given at the end with the finishing time and how many hints were used. If you decide to play in competitive mode and try to make it to the top 10 ranking then you may need to be more focused on time and try not to use any hints. The hint system is integrated in the game's interface which makes it easy to refer to if needed. We chose to play our game as "option 2" (options are given on their website). This option gave us 4 ticket codes which we used to log in on 4 different devices. We formed a "Pub Hub" meeting to allow us to communicate. Each of us chose a different station (Alpha, Beta, Delta, and Gamma) and started the game at the same time. It took us awhile to realized where to start since there were a lot of information given to use all at one time. Once we discovered the "clue system", it was very easy to follow from that point on. There were a lot of visualization type of puzzles so communication was the key to solving puzzles in this game. It also helped to be able to see each in the virtual meeting since some puzzle pieces were different to describe. There were 12 puzzles which coordinated with the 12 locks on the door. It felt really satisfying hearing and seeing each lock open as we entered the codes. Since we were playing on different devices, we were able to enter the codes on our own. This also gave us a chance to try our own answers without having to ask one member to continuously enter them. There was one visual puzzle that was quite hard to see until Brandon discovered the built-in interface that gave us a little "wow" moment. We have seen this kind of puzzle before but never in an online game and through an interactive interface. We finished the game with 1 hr and 18 minutes with no hints. The puzzles were not difficult but definitely a lot of fun for a team event. If you enjoyed this game (like we did) and want to give their other game a try while learning some Canadian history then "Legends of Canada" is the game for you. And if that's not enough, they also provide 2 FREE online puzzle games on their website! • Complex Rooms - "Legends of Canada"

Photos above are property of Complex Rooms Inc. Company: Complex Rooms Inc. Game: Legends of Canada Country: Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Family-Friendly, Historical Date Played: September 14, 2021 Difficulty (based on 6 players): 5/10 Size of Team: 1-4 Players Time: Unlimited Price: $15 CAD + HST/Game ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†ˆ In "Legends of Canada", you are stuck inside of a four wall room with a bunch of locked boxes and Canadian memorabilia. There is only one door to exit, but you must piece together some of Canada's greatest historical moments! Video above is property of Complex Rooms Inc ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ This is a digital point and click escape game that consists of four walls of puzzles, each providing interesting facts about Canada from information about the CN Tower to national heroes and beyond. Underneath certain displays you will find chests that are locked with your standard escape room locks from number locks, directional locks, letter locks, and a mysterious question mark. Your goal is to collect a series of colourful geometric shapes that seem to be the clue to unlocking the door out of the room. This game is best played using a single screen, either screen sharing on a video chat or using a single screen with all players in the same room. There is a three-part hint system available in the upper left corner of the screen that will provide hints for the puzzle your screen is facing. Make sure your sound is turned on for this game. Photos above are property of Complex Rooms Inc. ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ I found the puzzles to be enjoyable and some had really interesting twists to them. They are fairly non-linear with a few gating moments using the chests. The puzzles require no outside knowledge of Canada as this information will be provided over the course of the escape room, if required. One interesting element to this game was the use of an inventory system. Each time a chest was opened you gained various items that would aid in solving another puzzle, which helped stagger the puzzling. The puzzles themselves had a good variety that allowed all players to show their strengths. The audio-based puzzles and one other one (no spoilers!) were my favourite because they really utilized the digital space well. This game encourages interacting with the displays so feel free to use your mouse to find things you can push, drag, and pull! ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ Legends of Canada provides a fun hour-long experience great for friends looking to meet up over fun puzzling. This hotel seems to be full of amenities to explore on like a casino, an arcade, a puzzle hunt, and more! Will you be able to solve the mysteries as a team before time runs out? ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ This is a brand new concept of game design in Telescape that we haven't seen before. Created by Mystery Mansion Regina in collaboration with Help Us Escape, this is a fun point-n-click adventure you can play cooperatively as a team or competitively as multiple teams of up to three. We tried the game in both the cooperative and competitive style. Both style of the game will start off in a beautiful, grand hotel lobby with a massive check-in desk. Each team will check-in here by creating a team name and receiving a room key. For the cooperative game, we were able to travel to each floor via different elevators and it really felt like we're playing a video game. In this mode, you can enjoy the hotel in a leisurely way. All the teammates can travel to the same locations at the same time so they don't miss out on any puzzles. If you're playing in competition mode, you might have to split up and each take on a different path. At the beginning, you may only have limited areas to explore but once you start to solve puzzles and receive various items in your inventory, you'll be able to open up more secret portals. Besides the main game, there's also a bonus mini game, a puzzle hunt and many arcade games to interact with. Everyone will definitely have something to do. ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ No matter which style of play you decide to try, the amount of the puzzles will be the same. We loved the embedded puzzles in various scenery changes from a casino to art gallery to luxury hotel rooms. It felt like many different mini games all combined together to form a virtual puzzle hotel. Although we really loved the concept of building the puzzles within the virtual TV screens instead of having a separate pop up video, the Telescape system can still experience glitches sometimes. If this does happen, just close out of the browser and reenter again. The game was very easy to follow in terms of the operation side. Besides point-n-click, everything else you need will be in the inventory. Once you used a certain item, it'll disappear from there. The main game is more linear but since there are the added bonus elements of the mini game, puzzle hunt and arcade games, teams will be able to split up to complete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in those different segments. You'll actually be able to check the status of of the other teams during the game. If you're stuck, there are build-in hints and solutions. ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ This game concentrates less on narrative but more on puzzles and pure FUN! Even if you have completed all the game components, you might still be sucked into playing the arcade and casino games for awhile. Since you have a full 3 days to enjoy the hotel stay after check-in, you can decide when you want the fun to end. Mystery Mansion Regina will be hosting weekly competitive events where up to 12 teams can sign up and face off against each other. Teams will be timed and the use of hints will add a time penalty, so that scores can be accurately tracked. The first tournament will be on July 11th at 12PM MDT. If you like to play the non competitive way, the individual game tickets will be available starting July 12th. I wonder what the prize will be for first place. But I'm pretty sure for some of our competitive friends out there bragging rights is all they need! By the way, this is just Ep #1. I can't wait for rest of the trilogy! *** We regret to inform this game is no longer available for purchase but check out other games on their website*** Disclosure: We thank Mystery Mansion Regina for comping our tickets for this game. • Mystery Mansion Regina - "Cut Throat"

Photos provided by Mystery Mansion Regina Company: Mystery Mansion Regina Game: Cut Throat Country: Canada ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Language: English Type of Game: Audio Escape Room ๐Ÿ‘‚ Genre: Detective Date Played: 6/26/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 6/10 Size of Team: Up to 10 Players Time: 60 Minutes Price: $50.00 CAD (plus tax) We've played both of Mystery Mansion Regina's remote escape rooms already but the "Cut Throat" game is a different experience. This was an GM led audio escape room. This means that you would not be in a physical escape room setting but the visuals of the room and puzzles would be the same as if you were playing it the actual room. The visuals would be sent to you through their "Telescape" inventory portal. This portal was quite easy to use as only one player had to type in the password to reveal all the inventory items for the entire team. Another cool feature this portal was able to do was remove all the items that were already used as new items were entered. This made it a lot easier for us to focus on the current puzzles. Our game started with our GM, Mitch, giving us the back story in character. He's a rookie that was sent by the police force to find the missing captain. He started the game by describing the room to us while sending us photos of the room through "Telescape". Through the photos, we're able to see puzzles and inform him on what we like to do. It was helpful that he was a very entertaining GM and was able to come up with humorous puns throughout the game. This is a main ingredient to making a successful audio escape room. It would also make it more engaging if some audio sounds could be paired with certain actions like lock opening, foot steps, locker opening sounds etc... We also gave some feedback on giving a bit more clues on where certain symbols were as it was difficult for us to "search" if it was not on the visuals. Sometimes it was also hard to keep track of which locks were open and which weren't since some locks were in the pictures that showed the entire room and those photos stayed in the inventory the entire time. Adding photos of which locks were opened and which were left would resolve this issue. Since we play tested the game, the company probably already implemented these changes. There were a good amount of puzzles in this room but since this is an audio experience, our recommended number of players would be 4-5. We really enjoyed this "funny" killer character that was portrayed by Mitch as it was unlike any of the other kidnapper/murderer room we've played. *** We regret to inform this game is no longer available for purchasing but check out other games on their website*** Disclosure: We thank Mystery Mansion Regina for comping our tickets for this game. We were invited to visit his house in England. No one has mentioned to us about this uncle. Who is he? With many doubts and questions, our journey began... "Family Secret" is a point and click digital escape game. The part that intrigued us the most is that it's based on a true story. As we ventured deeper and deeper into the riddles and puzzles our great-uncle left us, more secrets unveiled. Since the servers of the game is currently located in Netherlands, we felt some delay with the loading speeding. If you are playing the game, just be a little patient. The company is already looking into a better solution. We liked how the game doesn't solely focus on one type of puzzle. It wasn't all searching on the web or all logic. There was a good mixture of everything. The puzzles were not too difficult so new players could definitely attempt the game. It would've been great if some video or sound elements could be added to the game to increase the "mystery" vibe. This game is currently licensed to three companies in three different countries (USA, India, and UK). Depending on where you're located, you'll purchase the game in that region. You can invite as many people as you like to join in the game with the same code after purchase. I would imagine getting too crazy with more than 6 people but maybe some people can just be spectators. We felt very comfortable playing with just the 2 of us. It wouldn't be wise to try this game on your own as there's a lot to do. It was also more fun to interact with each other as a team as that's what the interface was build to do. This digital game really tried to mimic a real escape room with the way the rules and puzzles were setup. The 60 minute timer started right when we entered the main room. Each time you solved a puzzle, a new portal would open up releasing new clues. If you do not finish in time, you won't be able to see the ending. I would strongly advice using the build-in hint system to at least finish the game. Your end score would probably be in the negatives but the ending game is well worth giving up those stubborn "no hint" mindset for and remember, you mission is to save the entire humankind! • RC Escape Room Games - "The Curse of Amberly Manor"

Videos/ Photos provided by RC Escape Room Games Company: RC Escape Room Games Game: The Curse of Amberly Manor Country: United Kingdom ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Language: English Type of Game: Digital Escape Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Horror Date Played: 11/17/2020 Difficulty (based on 4 players): 5/10 Size of Team: 2-10 Players Time: 60 Minutes Price: ยฃ12.49 (ยฃ2.50 of every payment will be donated to The Big Issue Foundation) ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ†ˆ After 200 years, Lady Amberly is still looking to get revenge. Will you be able to break the curse and save the town? ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ We played this game with a team of 4. The entire game was designed as a point-n-click format. The platform is synced in the sense that when one person unlocks something, it'll update for the rest of the team. The graphics were really well done. We entered what seems to be the grand entrance of a mansion. From there we're able to "travel" to various rooms in the house. There was one function we found to be on the fence about as it has it's pros and cons. When you're in the same room, each player will be allowed to explore freely to discover and solve puzzles simultaneously but if one player decided to exit out of that room, the entire team will have to follow him/her. We had occasions where one player was in the middle of solving something in a room was disrupted by another player clicking exit at the same time. The good thing with this option is that the team is kept together so you'll never miss what's been solved and what hasn't. All the other buttons worked smoothly and we really liked some of the tools that were used in the game. They reminded us of physical escape rooms. There is a count down clock that will start immediately once the team leader presses the "begin" button. If you get stuck, there are hints and solutions that should help you escape in time with no issues. This is a great option to have since players are still able to feel that urgency but everyone will definitely get to see the ending. ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ Most of the puzzles were not too difficult and stuck with the eerie theme of the game. The sound effects also added the element of surprise and immersion to the game play. Most of the puzzles were linear so it really bought out the importance of working together as a team. There was one puzzle that we had a hard time working together as having too many hands on deck felt counter productive so we eventually just watched one player complete that puzzle. ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ This was a fun game to play with a group of friends (especially if you enjoy a little creepiness). It wasn't scary or anything but the loud thunders did get me to jump a few times. We recommend a group of 2-4 players for this game based on the format and the amount of puzzles. It was great to see the variations in puzzles types as that bought out our individual strengths and weaknesses. Everyone got a moment of spotlight! • RC Escape Room Games - "A Christmas Carol"

On Christmas eve, three spirits decided to teach him the right ways...Hopefully we'll be able to change Scrooge? ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ…ผ๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ฐ๐Ÿ†ˆ One game voucher is good for a team of up to 10 players. The team leader (whoever enters the portal first) will be the one to start the game once all team members are in place. The game is played on their own digital platform. There's music to add ambience but you also have the option to turn it off if it takes the concentration away from solving puzzles. This is a great option to have especially when playing with groups. An improvement they had on this platform versus their previous game is that now the players are able to roam around freely and any actions they perform will not affect another player's game screen. The game is still synced in a way where if one person enters a correct password, the next "scene" will unlock for the entire team. This really enhanced the team building experience. The video components in the game was a nice way to tie up the storyline. ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…ด ๐Ÿ…ฟ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ†‰๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…ด๐Ÿ†‚ The puzzles were designed in a linear way mainly due to the fact that the game is synced. So if someone else opens something in another room, the other players may lose out on the action. Our team did feel that because we're able to roam around, it felt like that option was defeating its purpose. It would be great if the creators can add in some "Easter Egg" hunts or "search and find" elements so that if a teammate did not want to be stuck on solving the same puzzle as everyone else, they still have something do while "roaming" around. Some puzzles also felt like it was only meant for one person to operate on rather than the whole team as it got quite confusing with everyone dragging at the same time. There's one puzzle that we felt like needed a "bypass" option in case players are unable to get to the "solution" as it's not something the hint system could assist with. Lastly, if you love Math, you might just become the hero of the team! ๐Ÿ…ฒ๐Ÿ…ป๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†‚๐Ÿ…ธ๐Ÿ…ฝ๐Ÿ…ถ ๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ…พ๐Ÿ†„๐Ÿ…ถ๐Ÿ…ท๐Ÿ†ƒ๐Ÿ†‚ We've played a few of RC Escape Room Games already ( "The Curse of Amberly Manor" and "The Sapphire Project" and we love that they always take in feedback from the previous game and make the next ones better. This platform was another big improvement from the last game. We really enjoyed being able to have a synced game but still able to do our own things independently. It's also great that they're able to come out with creative themes that so different from one another. I wonder what theme they are working on next? For the price, they incorporated a lot of fun elements we haven't seen in games that normally would cost way more. The sound effects really made us feel like we were traveling in space. The story line was well written and had an nice intro and finish. We enjoyed the mini meta puzzle at the end. This was the first time we saw multiple choice options being added to a digital game. It was quite easy to make a guess without having to figure out the entire answer (there were no penalties for guessing a wrong answer either). I would've preferred to enter the answer in order to go on to the next puzzle since if you do get stuck, there were self guided hints provided. Since we played this at an "escape battle" we sped through the game. But the game was entertaining enough for us to go back and replayed it again! • Lee Ballan - "The Pyramid"

Photos provided by Lee Ballan Company: Lee Ballan Game: The Pyramid Country: Israel ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Language: English, Hebrew Type of Game: Online Puzzle Game ๐Ÿ’ป Genre: Adventure Date Played: 5/31/2020 Difficulty (based on 6 players): 6/10 Size of Team: 3-12 Players (We recommend 2 per each team) Time: Game link will be valid for 12 hours Price: โ‚ฌ13 pp What a fun puzzle game for team building! When I first saw this game, I was really worried about being the weakest link (as did one of other teammate) since this game depended on all teams finishing the puzzles together in order to move forward. We did not get that feeling at all. It was more of a collaborative experience than individual. We liked how the puzzles started on a easier level and gradually got harder. This gave us time to familiarize with the game and came up with a strategy plan. There were 10 puzzles total and all of them differed in their own ways. Technically you can have as many members as you wanted to on each team, but it seemed to work the best with 2 people per team for us. We hosted the teams on Zoom and we found to work the best since it captured a lot of our laughter and ponder moments. This game does score you at the end, so if you wanted to play it in competitive mode then you're able to see time at the end (although you won't be able to advance without your teammates' help) and if you took hints, points will be deducted. We love to see a sequel. I wonder if the game would get harder if more teams are able to be incorporated? Photos provided by Enchambered Company: Enchambered Country: USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ Language: English Type of Games: Online Puzzle Games ๐Ÿ’ป Size of Team: 2 player+ Time: Unlimited Game: Alone Together Date Played: 5/20/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 4/10 Price: Free "Alone Together" was a lot of fun. As the title suggested, we were playing separately but had to work together in order to solve the puzzles. It took us about 12 minutes or so to complete this game. The graphics were beautiful and there were no lags for this point and click game. I really enjoyed discovering items that wouldn't mean anything to me but helped my partner open his lock and vise versa. We were so glad they recently came out with part 2 as this "teaser" definitely caught our attention... Game: Alone Together 2: Together Apart Date Played: 5/20/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 8/10 Price: $5.00 "Together Apart" is a sequel to "Alone Together" and for $5 you're definitely getting at least 1 hr play time which was amazing. The concept was pretty much the same as the previous game but the difficulty level definitely went up. I still enjoyed the graphics a lot especially the vibrant colors. It was a lot harder to describe items in this game in comparison to the previous as it was not merely just letters or numbers anymore (full confession: we did cheat a little at times with FaceTime). Self guided hints were available but there were a few puzzles we felt that hints wouldn't help. And since there is no skip button, you will just have to keep on trying different ways (good thing there's no time limit!). We also switched roles and played the game again and that was equally enjoyable!
