  • The Push Mystery Rooms - "The Movies"

LOCATION: Brugge, Belgium Photo above is property of The Push Mystery Rooms Photos above are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers Date Played: February 3, 2022 Genre: Thriller Difficulty (Based on 2 PPL): 7/10 Total # of Players: 2-4 PPL (Ages 12+) Length of Time: 100 Minutes Price: €165/Team Booking Type: Private Escaped? Yes 📖 THE STORY Cinema complex “The Roxy”… That place has existed for such a long time. You remember your childhood days when you went there to watch movies like "Back to the Future", "Alice In Wonderland", "Jurassic Park", and many more. Recently, you heard the news that the owner of the cinema recently disappeared. No one knows where he went and why he left. It’s up to you to get to the bottom of this mystery. But be careful, danger might be closer than you think... 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE This room is a passion project from an interior designer and it shows. The design and details that were put in this room was astounding. You truly feel as if you’re in the lobby of a cinema. There were all sorts of memorabilia from different movies that took us down the memory lane. The set design is top-notch and really adds to the entire atmosphere. The puzzles were also beautifully crafted. They weren’t revolutionary, but they felt refreshing and well thought-out. Moreover, the pacing and the variety is just so sublime: from logic puzzles, to physical puzzles and finally to team work puzzles. the room had everything. The post-signing in this room is also outstanding. With over 60 steps to escape, they have figured out a way where you will never get lost by using the light (in clever ways). It fits perfectly with the room. The story was amazing and it was the final piece that I needed for a perfect room. With a title called "The Movies", there is a lot that you can play with and the GM found a way to overlap the story and combine them into a seamless experience. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK Nothing. This is pretty much a perfect game. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? YES! Absolutely! This is a room that everybody can and should play. Due to the post signing system it makes the flow of the room so much better and I think most rooms could benefit from such a system. It doesn’t break the immersion-like rooms that we need to look on the screen for a hint or talk to someone through a walkie-talkie. Although some veterans might think the post-signing seems a bit of a hand-holding, but that would be more of a personal preference. Since this room has over 60 steps, we were gladly taking on those "lights". All in all, this is THE BEST room I have yet to play. I was surprised not a lot of my friends haven’t heard of it yet, So this was a very pleasant surprise and now I'll be telling more and more of them so that this hidden gem will be able to shine through to the community. So if you are ever in Belgium. GO PLAY THIS ROOM! ℹ️ ADDITIONAL INFO There is plenty of parking to be found in front of the building and across the street, and it’s free. The public transportation is very scarce in these parts, so it’s not advised to take them unless you stay somewhere close to the room. It’s a bit in the middle of no-where, but the actual room makes up for the long drive. The lobby is a cozy little glass cage where the host will offer you something to drink and where you can just relax in the glow of a modern fireplace. There aren’t any stairs, but this game isn’t wheelchair friendly. You’re going to have to crawl in some spaces. At the end there will be a snack! They have one other room called "Houdini’s Workshop" which I'm sure I'll return one day to give it a go! Note: There is a scary part in this room. But if you are with younger kids or you just don't like horror, you can opt out of this phase. The room will be shorter, but still fun for the kids. • Blackbeard's Escape - "Blackbeard's Escape"

LOCATION: Nassau, The Bahamas Videos/ Photos are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers Date Played:  Sept 30, 2018 Price: $32/pp Length of Time: 60 Minutes Total # of Players: Up to 8 PPL Difficulty Level: 7/10 Public/Private: Public Escaped? Yes Hint: Don't be afraid to look through everything. Search for what's different. We loved that the Nassau, Bahamas now has their very own, first ever, escape room! "Blackbeard's Escape" is located inside the Pirate's Museum and for the time-being you'll have to go through that entrance in order to access the entrance to the escape room. There's one flight of stairs you'll have to climb up and there are no elevators. They don't have a reception area or waiting room, so the debriefing will take place right outside the game room before they bring you in. So if you arrive too early and it's hot, I would suggest checking out the museum or using the rest room. We were also privileged to be invited as their "beta-testers" for the lovely owners. Being that there's not that much resources on the island, they did a great job building this escape room to provide an immersive experience. Some clues were cleverly made with natural resources. This is going to be your classic key lock type of room. Although there's no tech involved, you can see the thought that was put into the storyline of the room. While we were playing, we did point out a few hazardous issues that the owners agreed needed to take necessary precautions. The puzzles aren't that difficult, so it'll be perfect for families with kids as well. We are excited to see what other rooms they'll develop when we plan our next trip to the Bahamas. ** UPDATE - We regret to inform you that "Blackbeard's Escape" has closed its doors. Disclosure: We thank Blackbeard's Escape for inviting us to be their first beta testers for the game. • REMOTE: Exit The Room - "Voodoo School"

Videos/ Photos provided by Exit The Room Company: Exit The Room Game: Voodoo School Country: Austria 🇦🇹 Language: English Type of Games: Remote Escape Room 🗣 Genre: Fun Date Played: 9/2/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 5/10 Size of Team: 2-6 Players Time: 60 Minutes Price: €79,00 (2-3 Players)/ €89,00 (4 Players)/ €99,00 (5 Players)/ €109,00 (6 Players) It looks like our avatar Lisa really needs our help with her school work. She has 9 subjects that she needs to pass in 60 minutes or else she'll be stuck in this school forever! Now that's scary... This is our first remote game with Exit the Room. It was done over zoom but they had a build-in inventory system which worked quite nicely with the game since you didn't need to open up another screen or toggle between pop ups. Lisa started the game by giving us a tour of the room. She had a pretty steady hand throughout the game and we didn't have much internet issues. It was also great to be able to see her operate on some of the puzzles from a different angle since she was able to put the camera on a stand. The first thing we noticed was that the theme of the room didn't feel "voodooish" to us. It was a regular class room with normal homework questions. We felt that the set design and puzzles could have used more of a "darker" or "witchery" type of feel since it is called "Voodoo School" (although there was a bit more connection towards the latter part of the game). Most of the puzzles really bought back our memories of being in school. There were 9 different subjects (Behavior, Geography, Biology, Latin, Physics, Literature, Voodoo, and Mathematics) that we had to solve in order to help our avatar pass the final exam. It was quite linear so if you are not sure what to do next, it's best to reference to which subject you have completed. This would be really fun for a group since I'm sure people will have different strengths and everyone will end up contributing to the solutions. My favorites were the Music and Math puzzles where as Brandon's were Geography and Voodoo. There was one puzzle we thought could cause an issue due to language and that was Latin. We had to eventually ask Lisa to help us with this one. One puzzle also felt like it needed some outside knowledge which I was glad Brandon's everyday trivia came in handy. Overall we did enjoy being challenged to remember our school days and it was nice to know that we did not give back everything we learned to our teachers. Are you ready to put your school knowledge to test? *** We regret to inform this game is no longer available for booking as a remote game but can still be played as in-person game *** (If you do decide to try this game, give us a shoutout or tag us on social media so we know you heard it from "ESCAPETHEROOMers"!) • REMOTE: Exit The Room - "Wizard"

Videos/ Photos provided by Exit The Room Company: Exit The Room Game: Wizard Country: Austria 🇦🇹 Language: English Type of Games: Remote Escape Room 🗣 Genre: Fun Date Played: 9/9/2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 6/10 Size of Team: 2-6 Players Time: 60 Minutes Price: €79,00 (2-3 Players)/ €89,00 (4 Players)/ €99,00 (5 Players)/ €109,00 (6 Players) In the "Wizard" game, we are students of the mighty wizard Tambeldor. Our training is almost ending but an evil warlock had just poisoned our teacher. We did not expect our final task to be to save his life... This game used the same platform as "Voodoo School". There were a lot more items that were placed in the inventory system and it was quite helpful to have the build-in portal since we didn't have toggle through different screens. One suggestion we had would be to either have the avatar be more efficient with updating puzzle hints or make it automated. It was getting a bit overwhelming and would definitely help if the used items were deleted right away from the inventory. Mike was quite speedy and did everything we asked efficiently. We did feel that the camera was more wobbly this time than our last game so hopefully that could be fixed with a harness or stand. The room decor was more to theme this time and we enjoyed the certain "magical moments" from the special effects. There were two puzzles we thought didn't translate as well to the online version. One was because it was quite difficult to instruct the avatar on what to do since the visuals were quite fast and the other was a physical puzzle that we could only really watch on the side. It would be great if there could be an added interactive puzzle that we could try on our own in the inventory system and follow along with the avatar. This room was less linear and we were able to solve different puzzles simultaneously. All the puzzles had a close connection to the wizard world and that happens to be one of our favorite escape room themes. To us, this would've been a really fun room to play in person as there were a lot of visual and physical puzzles that we would've enjoyed. But since we can't travel right now, it was nice to be able to still "teleport" ourselves to Austria for 60 minutes! *** We regret to inform this game is no longer available for booking as a remote game but can be played as an in-person experience*** (If you do decide to try this game, give us a shoutout or tag us on social media so we know you heard it from "ESCAPETHEROOMers"!) • Amazing Escape Room (Bloomfield) - "Search for the Grail"

LOCATION: Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA Photo above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 📝  ETR DECODER 🔑 GAME: The Grail 📅 DATE PLAYED: January 30, 2020 🎬 GENRE: Adventure 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 ppl): 6/10 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS: Up To 10 ppl 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME: 60 Mins 💰 PRICE: $30.00/ pp ☎️ BOOKING TYPE: Public 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED?: Yes 📖 THE STORY After years of researching, we finally found an ancient dig that could potentially contain "The Grail". The bad news is that no one has ever made it out from the dig. Will we be the first? Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE The initial entrance felt like a bunker but we’re glad to see that there were further surprises as we proceeded on with the game.  The scenery changes went smoothly with the story development. The props used in the room were fitting for that era and it felt authentic in terms of quality. There were a few logic puzzles pleasing to solve as they were incorporated within the story line. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK The lighting element was great for the ambience, but it made the reading a little difficult.  Perhaps a protective helmet with a light would add a bit of character for the players but also help with reading puzzles. There was a delay with triggering a puzzle in the latter part of the game. We had to take the pieces off and place it back on a few times before it could work properly. There were no clear markings as to how precise they had to be. The reveal of a puzzle piece was quite slow. Since this is quite important for a reveal, it would’ve been nice to see either music or sound being added for the dramatic finish. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? This is a great room for medieval fans who loves a bit of a dungeon atmosphere. The puzzles were not particularly difficult and if you don’t mind a bit of reading, you will enjoy this room as the story unfolds. Besides the usual “slow trigger” issues at Amazing Escape Room Bloomfield, this is by far, our favorite location and games of theirs. Since they cover 4 different types of genres here ranging from sci-fi, western, medieval, and fantasy, I’m sure you’re bound to find something that tickles your fancy. 🔎 HINT What’s more important? • Amazing Escape Room (Bloomfield) - "Gold Rush"

LOCATION: Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA Photo above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers Photos above are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 📝  ETR DECODER 🔑 GAME: Gold Rush 📅 DATE PLAYED: January 30, 2020 🎬 GENRE: Western 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 ppl): 6.5/10 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS: Up To 10 ppl 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME: 60 Mins 💰 PRICE: $30.00/ pp ☎️ BOOKING TYPE: Public 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED?: Yes 📖 THE STORY It’s the 1800's and we got tips on a secret passage connecting a saloon to the bank next door. Our team has decided to try to rob as much gold as possible out of the bank before the owner comes back in an hour. 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE We love saloon themes especially when the décor is on point. The hard wood, barrels, saloon bar brought the inner cowboy/cowgirl out of us. Puzzles were really fun in this room. We had a blast with one of them especially when the music and light was seamlessly paired with the “reveal”. There weren’t too many red herrings in this room. Everything that needed to be bolted down was done the right way. The puzzle flow was great and we really enjoyed the variation of the puzzle designs. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK It’s too bad the room was not in its original condition where all the puzzles were working properly. There were two items that no longer worked and it was disappointing to see that it wasn't fixed and was just replaced with a simpler solution while still leaving it left open and disabled. We hope this could be fixed soon so that players can enjoy the full experience. The hints for the previous puzzles were not taken down and it was quite confusing to us during the game play since it’s not able to be utilized anywhere. One item was triggered by a puzzle we solved but we had no idea that something had opened. It would be great to add a sound or light to point to that trigger. The first room definitely felt more fully designed than the latter part of the game. The second part felt rushed as the details did not match the beginning stages. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? This was a fun room and probably our favorite out of the 4 rooms at Amazing Escape Room Bloomfield. It was right in the middle in terms of level of the difficulty. The set design was immersive and the puzzles were enjoyable. If they could fix the non-working puzzle, this room has a lot of great potential. If Western themes aren't your cup of tea, let us know and we’ll be happy to suggest the one that best suits you at Amazing Escape Room Bloomfield. 🔎 HINT Cheers!! • Amazing Escape Room (Bloomfield) - "Lost In Space"

LOCATION: Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA Photo above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 📝  ETR DECODER 🔑 GAME: Lost in Space 📅 DATE PLAYED: January 30, 2020 🎬 GENRE: Sci-Fi 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 ppl): 7.5/10 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS: Up To 10 ppl 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME: 60 Mins 💰 PRICE: $30.00/ pp ☎️ BOOKING TYPE: Public 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED?: Yes 📖 THE STORY Something happened to our spaceship and it went off course! We needed to guide ourselves back to the charted territory and bring our crew back to safety! Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE The set design created not only a spaceship vibe but also the illusion of you actually traveling through the galaxies. The 3D-like glass did a great job with the visuals on the depth of the galaxy. It’s nice to see that they were able to utilize the control station of the spaceship to the fullest when it comes to incorporating puzzles within. We have seen a couple ways on how the “entrance” is utilized now in a few escape rooms for “transportation”, but it’s still fairly new to the general public to experience this cool design. The assigned tasks of shutting down mechanics, maneuvering the ship, and creating the right path were closely tied in with the puzzle design. Amazing Escape Room definitely stepped up its game for this room from their previous puzzle designs. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK This is the first time we have seen this puzzle in an escape room. The deductive reasoning almost felt like a “by chance of luck” experience. I can see teams viewing this as a “time killer” type of puzzle. I felt fairly lucky as I got it on the first try but the game master informed us that most of the time it takes people about 20 minutes on it. There were these authentic looking props that moved when you touched them it was a bit disappointing to learn that it’s just decoration. This is just a personal minor touch we felt could’ve been incorporated in the design of puzzle. The game master had to come into the room for this game as well as one of the keys were stuck and couldn’t eject even though a right code was punched in. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? If you want a challenge and have played some escape rooms before, give this room a try. There’s no clear directions or hints as to how you would potentially start the game. So our advice is to use hints early as there’s more to the first appearance than meets the eye. • Amazing Escape Room (Bloomfield) - "Down the Rabbit Hole"

LOCATION: Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA Photo above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers Photos above are property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 📝  ETR DECODER 🔑 GAME: Down The Rabbit Hole 📅 DATE PLAYED: January 30, 2020 🎬 GENRE: Fantasy, Fairy Tale 🧠 DIFFICULTY (Based on 2 ppl): 8.5/10 👥 TOTAL # OF PLAYERS: Up To 10 ppl 🕒 LENGTH OF TIME: 60 Mins 💰 PRICE: $30.00/ pp ☎️ BOOKING TYPE: Public 🔓 ESCAPED/ COMPLETED?: No 📖 THE STORY A trickery rabbit had let us down a rabbit hole that seemed to be bottomless. As we finally reached the bottom, a magical realm appeared in front of us. It seems like we’re trapped here forever! Maybe our only chance is to find Alice and hope she would be able to lead us to the light. Video above is property of ESCAPETHEROOMers 🎯 HIT THE BULLSEYE The colorful set design along with a bit of a whimsical feel was a fitting touch for the “Alice in Wonderland” theme. A magical moment was triggered by one of our actions and it was pretty enough for us to want to re-trigger it again to see the fairytale-like setting. The room had a conclusive and “magical” ending rather than just a “key to open a door” escape. 🧩 MISSED THE MARK The mag locks in the room seemed to not function that well. One time the game master had to come in to fix something that didn’t pop open. There was another time when we correctly solved a puzzle and nothing happened. So we had to reposition the pieces at the same spots and finally it triggered the mag locks. There was one puzzle that seemed to be quite difficult to do with a small or a large group as it exceeded the normal amount of repetitiveness for a puzzle solution. It felt more like a “eat up time” kind of puzzle. This puzzle design appeared again in the room which made it feel repetitive. There was one puzzle we solved but we didn’t know what we had triggered. It would be great if an alerting sound or light could be added. If the “entrance” to the magical realm could be designed to be more like a portal versus something very obvious, it would add more immersion to the room. 🏹 TAKE A SHOT? This room probably works best if you have a group of 4. Since it’s not linear, it would’ve definitely helped when 2 people are on one type of puzzle and the others on something else. It was quite difficult for the two of us (although in full disclosure I was left for 10 minutes by myself as my other half had to exit the room because of an emergency so that didn’t help). If you particularly enjoy a set design that feels like a fantasy land with beautiful colors, you might like this room. We weren’t particularly enjoying the puzzle aspects of this room, but we think maybe kids will do great mainly because of the types of puzzles that was incorporated in here. 🔎 HINT Just follow the last one. Be quick! • Foulplay Games - "Cabin #5"

Photos above are property of Foulplay Games Company: Foulplay Games Game: Cabin #5 Country: USA 🇺🇸 Language: English Type of Game: RPG Murder Mystery 🎭 Genre: Murder Mystery Date Played: October 19, 2021 Difficulty (based on 6 players): 2/10 Size of Team: 6 Players (Recommended Ages 14+) Time: 90-105 Minutes Price: $30.00/Game (without host) 🆃🅷🅴 🆂🆃🅾🆁🆈 Bobby, Jo, Charlie, Riley, Alex, and Taylor attended summer camp at Camp Silver Lake back in '79 when their camp counselor Jessie mysteriously died. Five years later, the group decided to meet up again in the same cabin (#5) for one last reunion before they go their separate ways... Photos above are property of Foulplay Games 🆃🅷🅴 🅶🅰🅼🅴 🅿🅻🅰🆈 You can play this game one of three ways. You can purchase the script and host your own murder mystery party with your friends using any type of virtual meet up platform or you can hire a live host from Foulplay Games to host your game or actually meet up in person! For the sake of review purposes we had a lovely host named Maddy. Maddy introduced a new platform to us called Gather which we really enjoyed as this felt like a hybrid of the two options mentioned. Maddy gave us an overview of the functions in Gather and we started to roam around the map instantly. This is a map they've customized for this particular game. Prior to the game, each of the players were assigned a character. Each character had a character profile that gave the back story and personality of the individual. On game day, some of our players were dressed up and really played into their characters. It's totally up to you how you would like to play this game. The host of the game will be in charge of the time and when to give each character their assignment and secret messages. For example if you are the killer, you would want the other players to not to suspect you of any wrong doings. There are areas on the map where individuals can speak to each other publicly or in private. When you're in a private conversation, the other players will not be able to hear you. Other than roaming around the island and talking to people, there's nothing else you can do with the map itself besides adding in decors (which we later found out we shouldn't have been able to do). It would've been fun to add a few props in there or puzzle pieces to build deeper into the mystery of the game. 🆃🅷🅴 🅿🆄🆉🆉🅻🅴🆂 This is more like a murder mystery deduction type of experience and does not contain any puzzles. You'll need to converse with other players and get them to tell you information about themselves (although they can lie) and piece the information from others together to make a conclusion. At the end of the 90 minutes, we were asked to fill out a Google form and our host informed us which players correctly guess the killer and the motive. After that, we had a very "glamourous award ceremony" where certain players received "Best Dressed", "Best Character", etc... Photo above is property of Foulplay Games 🅲🅻🅾🆂🅸🅽🅶 🆃🅷🅾🆄🅶🅷🆃🆂 I really enjoy RPG games especially when there's a murder mystery involved. It was so much fun to see everyone dressed up and act as a different person. One thing we wish this game had was a bit more puzzles or some interactive element on the map itself. Since there were only 6 characters in the game, after awhile we've pretty much questioned everyone. At times, we did feel like we were counting down the clock. I think if certain character had pieces of info that required a "secret word" (by solving a certain puzzle), that would definitely give the characters some things to do other than conversation. Time will also feel more utilized. There's a lot of potential we see in this game so we definitely look forward to future scripts that would incorporate a bit more of our puzzle demands! (If you do decide to try this game, please remember to let them know that you heard it from"ESCAPETHEROOMers"!) Disclosure: We thank Foulplay Games for comping our tickets for this game. • Mingle & Mischief Craft Murder Mystery Parties - "Sabotage on the Starcrusader Cosmica"

Photos provided by Mingle & Mischief Craft Murder Mystery Parties Company: Mingle & Mischief Craft Murder Mystery Parties Game: Sabotage on the Starcrusader Cosmica Country: USA 🇺🇸 Language: English Type of Game: Role Playing Game 🎭 Genre: Mystery, Sci-Fi Date Played: 6/6/2020 Difficulty (based on 5 players): 8/10 Size of Team: 4-6 pp (Additional players can be Androids) Time: ~ 2 hours Price: $23.95 - $29.95/Team There has been a murder aboard our Starcrusader Cosmica! Everyone is a suspect and only the killer knows who he/she is. To make matters worse, there are also evil Biomechs (evil machines trying to take over the human race) disguised as humans among us! Can we save the human race? This role playing game has been designed to be played with friends over zoom at the comfort of your own home. Once you purchase the package (chose the package that suits your party number), the story files will be emailed to you. A team leader can assigned the characters to the players randomly. The players will then have to study their character and what their motives are prior to the game. On game day, your objective is to achieve as many goals as you can from the strategy sheet. The game can be played with the scoring system or just for fun. It was a lot of fun to play dress up for this game. Setting up a galaxy-like zoom background definitely helped set the vibe. We really enjoyed coming up with different strategies to not blow up our covers and missions. It was fun to form alliances but be careful who you chose! The only suggestion we probably have to make the game better would be to make the reading materials shorter and to bullet point the necessary missions. Perhaps a video intro of the story would be great to set the mood of the game. There was a lot of reading and the rules did get confusing at some point. It was great we had the creator of the game with us to clarify some questions but if the players were playing alone, its best these questions can be clarified. We felt that it took away from the fun when we had to go back to the paperwork constantly to find out what we had to do and what information we had. It was hard to remember everything prior to the game. As the sole survivor of the human race, I am glad to report that I'll be taking on the president role. I will continue to serve for us to the best of my ability and take this Starcrusader to "infinity and beyond"! *** We regret to inform this company has closed its doors *** Disclosure: We thank Mingle & Mischief Craft Murder Mystery Parties for comping our tickets for this game. Videos/ Photos provided by Claustrophobia Company: Claustrophobia Game: Global Dominance Country: Russia 🇷🇺 Language: English, Russian Type of Game: Role Playing Game 🎭 Genre: War, Strategy Date Played: 6/7/2020 Difficulty (based on 20 players): 3/10 Size of Team: 10-90 Players Time: 120 Minutes Price: ~$20 pp We weren't quite sure what we're getting ourselves into with "Global Dominance" as we haven't seen anything quite like it on the market yet. We've done role playing games but not to this scale in terms of the amount of people involved. On June 7th, we gathered the brightest minds of the industry (bloggers, enthusiasts and escape room managers/owners) and formed a super power team of 20 people from 8 different countries (USA, UK, Spain, Netherlands, Canada, China, Belgium, and Czechia). The goal of the game was to obtain the best living standard for your country. You'll then have the highest ranking in the world. We started with a peaceful introduction of ourselves in the lobby of Zoom. Our game master then divided the players into 5 different teams. Each team represented a country. The countries given for this game were USA, China, Germany, Iran and Russia. Each team had 4 members. There are 6 rounds in the game and you'll be able to discuss your strategies in the breakout rooms. It's best to select a spokesperson to be the president as after each round you'll be moved to the lobby again for a debriefing. In each round, your team be given 10 minutes to plan your next moves. There was a lot of negotiation, backstabbing, bluffing, etc. The game was definitely intended for large teams as the more countries you have, the harder it is for you to guess who made the move on you. It was interesting to see the different approaches by different teams. Besides the fun elements, the game also portrayed a cruel realty which different nations face every day. To have nuclear power means that there could be a potential war some day but without it, the nations fear that they would not be able to protect themselves. In this game of betrayal and distrust, will there ever be world peace? As the president of Russia (in the game), it was a very difficult decision to make to utilize nuclear weapons on anyone. I would never want to be put in the position in real life. As we got closer to the end of the game, the situation got more exciting. All the "pretenders" and evil plans slowly emerged to the surface. The pollution levels were super high due to the use of nuclear weapons and a lot of cities were destroyed. The game also taught us a valuable lesson of what would happen to our beloved home if these decisions were to be made by the leaders of the world. We hope to always have world peace and to protect our homes to the best of our abilities. Below is the result of this game: 1st Place: Germany Escaping Cousins, Escape The Review, Review the Room, El Quinto Elemento 2nd Place: Russia - ESCAPETHEROOMers, The Escape Game, China EGA 3rd Place: Iran - Paruzal Games, Escape The Room, Tulleys Escape Room, SolveProgue USA - The Haunt Girl, Escape Mattster, Trapped Escape Room, Society of Curiosity 4th Place: China - District 3 Escape Room, Red Fox Escape Room, Prison Escape, Mystery Mansion Regina Check out the live game play on our FACEBOOK: LINK (If you do decide to try this game, give us a shoutout or tag us on social media so we know you heard it from "ESCAPETHEROOMers"!) There were no self guided hints on the actual website but if you need assistance, they were pretty responsive on their Instagram account. • Exit Productions - "Jury Duty"

Videos/ Photos provided by Exit Productions Company: Exit Productions Game: Jury Duty Country: United Kingdom 🇬🇧 Language: English Type of Game: Online Immersive Experience 🎭 Date Played: 8/3/2020 Difficulty (based on 6 players): 5.5/10 Size of Team: Up to 12 Players Time: 105 Minutes Price: £15/PP "Jury Duty" was an one of a kind online immersive experience played over Zoom. The players would be acting as jurors on a case to help to determine if the defendant was innocent or not. With the new Justice Act (2020), all trials were being done remotely. The game started with an intro video and then all the players met in the lobby of Zoom. Thereafter, we're broken into two breakout rooms with 3 players each. If you didn't book a private experience, you'll be paired with strangers. We loved meeting people from all over the world so that was not an issue for us at all. Both of the breakout rooms were presented with the same evidence. There were a lot of reading so it was wise to split the workload with our teammates. Throughout the game we've encountered analyzing evidences, encrypting secret messages, searching through social media for clues, decoding voicemails, etc. We even got to interrogate the defendant! It was very interesting to see the story unravel as we dug up more "juicy" material to uncover the truth. After 40 minutes or so into the game, we were able to join forces with the rest of the players from the other breakout room. It was very useful to share the information we found with them and vise versa. We were also able to work together for the rest of the game and interrogate the defendant one last time. In the end, we uncovered a lot of surprising twists in the story and were able to correctly determine 2 out of 3 crimes the defendant had committed. This game really gave us a real life experience of how to work under time pressure and with a group of strangers. It also made us realize how "corrupted" a system could be if it was heavily dependent on opinions. For instance, we felt that we didn't have enough evidence to determine the answer we got wrong but after the game designer explained it to us, it felt like there were other ways to accomplish that without the hard evidence. The actor also did a great job at swaying our opinion. We hope to see a different type of concept for game (perhaps one that bases more on evidence) just for a comparison on game play. But thanks to this game, I probably will not be so dreadful when I see a Jury Duty summons in my mailbox in the future. • Two Bit Circus - "REMOTE"

Videos/ Photos provided by Two Bit Circus Company: Two Bit Circus Game: REMOTE Country: USA 🇺🇸 Language: English Type of Game: Online Immersive Experience 🎭 Date Played: 8/26/2020 Difficulty (based on 6 players): 3/10 Size of Team: Unlimited Price: $7.00/ pp NOTE: Guest content is unfiltered. Expect this to be equivalent to an R-rated movie (for language and sexual innuendo). Not suitable for children unless you want to spend the rest of the night explaining what ass chaps are. We were invited to try out the new Two Bit Circus Remote show. Currently this show is being offered every Thursday. There's a live host that'll be hosting the show while the participants are joined in on a chat room. The show has various types of fun activities like 80s music trivia, emoji tests, word of the week, favorite finds online, guess the audio etc...Each participant will have 10 seconds to enter what they think is the right answer to each question. You'll be scored according to speed and accuracy. There were also moments in the show where they bought on panelists and we had to guess who would won certain challenges. Other than the live host, there's also a game show chat bot that will interact with the audience in the chat room. Since trivia is not our strong suit, we didn't get to win the awesome prizes. However, we had a lot of fun and laughter throughout the show. This is a really well done platform for hosting large events (corporate team building) or special events (birthdays) as you'll be able to customize it to your liking. You can even bring on a particular person onto the panel during the show to make them sing, dance, do challenges etc. We can't wait for them to implement some puzzles in the game show as we can see this becoming quite popular in our community (secretly we just really want to redeem ourselves!). *** We regret to inform this game is no longer available for booking as a remote game *** Disclosure: We thank Two Bit Circus for comping our tickets for this game. • Strange Bird Immersive - "The Strange Secret of Mr. Adrian Rook"

Photos provided by Strange Bird Immersive Company: Strange Bird Immersive Game: The Strange Secret of Mr. Adrian Rook Country: USA 🇺🇸 Language: English Type of Games: Online Immersive Experience 🎭 Genre: Mystery Date Played: 9/11/2020 Difficulty (based on 6 players): 2/10 Size of Team: Up to 8 Players (Could be with paired with strangers) Time: 90 Minutes Price: $30.00/ pp We received a peculiar invite to the Strange Bird's virtual Open House. It seems like something had gone wrong there. Adrian Rook, secretary to the Raven Queen, has gone missing! Perhaps with the help from the unusual tenants, we'll be able to unearth the mystery behind Mr. Rook's disappearance.... As we arrived at the Open House by Zoom (if we weren't on the road that day, we would've totally dressed up for this elegant event), we were greeted by a beautiful woman who's a tenant in the building. She seemed to be the secret keeper. As we sipped the drink of our choice, the show began. We visited 6 different tenants in their own apartments. When one tenant finished their performance, we would have to return to the main lobby to click on a different zoom link to be led to the next tenant's room. From learning about genetics to welding & whiskey to photography to tarot reading, everyone had their own personality and their specialties yet were all somehow connected with Mr. Rook. Although each actor only had the small space behind them to use as their stage, all of them were dressed as their character and the set design went well with their narrative. Our favorite moments were the audience participation moments. I loved the personalization of the taro card reading, the dream sharing, and of course, the virtual drinking! It was great to feel like we were part of the show. I was hoping to have even more of those chances to be able to interact with the actors more and perhaps finding out more "secrets" that we could use to solve the mystery. For players who have played their in person escape room before, please note that this is not a puzzle heavy experience. There was a mystery to be solved at the end but it was mainly through picking up breadcrumbs from the performances. If you pay attention to the story told by each of the tenants, you may just learn about some real issues in this society. Every story had an embedded message. Strange Bird Immersive created an immersive theater experience where you might not get it on the spot but one day suddenly you might realize: "ohhh, that's what they were talking about." Even till this day we're still reminiscing the moments we shared with the unusual tenants at Strange Bird. We hope to meet them one day in person! *** We regret to inform this game is no longer available for booking but check out other games on their website*** Disclosure: We thank Strange Bird Immersive for comping our tickets for this game.
