Five priceless treasures have been stolen across London and the five dastardly thieves have escaped the policeβs clutches once more. But intelligence has it that they will strike again soon. Photo above is property of Escape Hunt UK ππ ·π ΄ π Άπ °π Όπ ΄ π Ώπ »π °π There's essentially 3 things you'll need to print: puzzle grid (need to be filled for deduction), cipher wheel and a note clue. Two of these items will also need to be cut as well. "Stolen" is basically a giant logic puzzle. We were told that 5 items were stolen, and we need to determine who stole what time, in what location, on what date and at what time. Every clue in the pack will reveal one small piece of information (for example, a picture might show that this location is guarded until midnight, which means the theft had to have occurred after that. Many of such little bits of information will be everywhere and our job is to piece together everything and fill in the logic grid. Photo above is property of Escape Hunt UK ππ ·π ΄ π Ώππππ »π ΄π There isn't anything much to say as this isn't really a traditional puzzle game. The whole game is a puzzle (logic grid) on its own. Most of the information is blatantly given to you, some you will need to infer a bit (like the example mentioned above, and some will be encoded with a simple cipher, and upon deciphering it, you will get the information you need. π ²π »π Ύππ Έπ ½π Ά ππ ·π Ύππ Άπ ·ππ Stolen is a very different game compared to Escape Hunt's other offerings. It is basically a game where you find information, combine them together and form your conclusion. It is just like a normal logic grid puzzle you find in puzzle books, just that, the difference is instead of the clues being given in sentences like (The painting was stolen before the diamond), every clue will be in picture form/cipher form. It felt like one big puzzle! Players who like logic grid puzzles can give this a try but it's definitely quite different from escape room type of puzzles. In order to play this game, you will need a printer, a scissors, a pen/pencil and a device with internet access. In Robot Rescue, we are tasked to repair the different parts of a robot, from its head to its hands/legs and chest. Each body part is a puzzle that we need to solve in order to get a codeword. Hence, getting all codewords will lead us to the final code to rescue the robot! You will need to access the internet as they have a cute interface for you to click on which robot part you wish to repair. Each area will have a short introduction on what the issue the robot has, and sometimes, a clue for you on what you need to do. They were all very straightforward and a variety of puzzles were present. The various skills being tested were Math, general (very simple) knowledge, shading, spatial recognition and physical manipulation of objects. I will thoroughly recommend this game if you are looking for a suitable kids game. Escape Hunt definitely made it attractive and fun for the kids. There are some kids' games that are really common and simple - for example, just connecting the dots or some basic pattern matching. However, in Robot Rescue, Escape Hunt took these basic concepts and tweaked them so that for children playing this game, they can still get a 'wow' effect when they know how to solve the puzzle, rather than feeling like this is just an 'activity book'. PS: For adults playing this game as a trial to see if it's suitable for their kids, I will recommend not to overthink like I did at some solutions. Have you got what it takes to lead a skeleton crew of expert thieves into the most heavily guarded building in the whole underworld? For one night only, the walls between the real world and the afterlife have come down and the greatest prize of them all sits inside a secure vault somewhere inside the palace, waiting to be taken by someone bold enough to try. ππ ·π ΄ π Άπ °π Όπ ΄ π Ώπ »π °π "Day of The Dead" is a Print-n-Play game designed by Escape Hunt. In order to play this game, you will need a printer, a scissors, a pen/pencil and a device with internet access. Compared to their other games, using a device with internet access is just if you need clues, a music background and to key in your final answer. There are no clues on the website that are relevant to puzzle solving. Day of The Dead is a linear game where you solve the puzzles one at a time until the final puzzle which is to unlock the vault. Not all puzzles need to be printed, but there will be some physical manipulation and cutting involved for some puzzles. Photo above is property of Escape Hunt UK ππ ·π ΄ π Ώππππ »π ΄π The puzzles were more difficult than "Robot Rescue" which is another print-n-play game by them, but still not too difficult for experience players. Enthusiasts might not need any hints as most puzzles are quite straightforward (though you will need to think out of the box a little more). There was a good amount of variations of puzzles, especially one which I found to be exceptionally creative and I truly loved it when I discovered what we were supposed to do. One weakness I felt in this game was that the puzzles felt like fillers. What I meant is that, you don't actually need to solve these puzzles to complete the whole game. For example, the instruction might say "do not flip this page until you have XXXXX", however, it doesn't prevent players from actually skipping it. The final puzzle is on its own, without needing any prior answers. I would prefer if they did something like Robot Rescue, where they made a meta puzzle in which you need the solutions for previous puzzles. I understand that players will generally not skip everything and go straight to the last puzzle anyway, but it will be good to have a sense of accomplishment, solving each puzzle one by one, and knowing it will help in my final objective. Imagine you enter an escape room, where they say "you can choose to solve the final puzzle anytime but please solve the rest beforehand". π ²π »π Ύππ Έπ ½π Ά ππ ·π Ύππ Άπ ·ππ As usual, Escape Hunt kept up with their high standard in creating a colourful pack for their audience. I would say this game overall has some nice touches and will be suitable for older children/teenagers rather than puzzle enthusiasts. For puzzle lovers, this game is still worth to try due to the creative ways these common puzzles have been tweaked. However, for those looking for a brain workout, there are other selections that are harder in difficulty level in the Escape Hunt "Print-n-Cut" series. Unfortunately, the estate and inheritance has been frozen since his death in 1914 because of the mysterious nature of his death. Until the case is solved, your inheritance will remain unattainable. Can you solve this hundred-year-old case, or will your inheritance continue to collect dust in the hallow halls of Blackwood Manor? Photo above is property of Escape Hunt UK ππ ·π ΄ π Άπ °π Όπ ΄ π Ώπ »π °π "Murder at the Mansion" is a Print-n-Play game designed by Escape Hunt. You will need a printer (some pages do need printing in colour), a pair of scissors, a pen/pencil and a device with internet access. Online access includes a hint website if you are stuck as well as the ability to send an email towards the end to receive the final clue. Unlike other Escape Hunt Games, "Murder at the Mansion" is not a linear game. You goal is to identify the five suspects and figure out their weapon, the location of their crime, and what motive they might have. While the evidence is order ed1-13, you can complete them in any order. Once you have all the evidence, you must piece together the information to figure out the email of the last detective on the case using the first name of the suspect with the dagger and the location of where a specific suspect was as the last name β firstname.location@gmail.com. Not all components need printing but some benefit from being able to write on them and one, in particular, requires cutting for assembly. ππ ·π ΄ π Ώππππ »π ΄π The puzzles for Murder at the Mansion were fairly basic, which is perfect for someone wanting to dip their toes into puzzling through a more deduction angle. There is a variety to them, from pattern recognition, ciphers, logic, and observation, so you can easily divide and conquer with friends, and I liked how even after solving the puzzles you still need to complete a deduction aspect to the game to connect suspects to weapons and locations and motives. One thing to note is that you can sometimes gain more information off pieces of evidence than just the solution to the puzzle so observation is key. The hint site will not mention it but there were a couple times where identifying the location or weapon for a suspect was hinted at in the evidence but not explicitly stated. I recommend once you have gone through all the evidence, take a moment to review where you gained information for a certain suspect and review. Deduction really helped me here. One thing I did note was the ending felt pretty easy after I did all the leg work prior to the email. I would have like a bit more of a challenge as well as something to culminate all my work other than good job. That said, this kind of game I think is more directed to groups gathering to socialize and have an activity they can do together. You can easily give 5 friends different tasks to work through and then come together to discuss. The email works well for gating the experience for players and will give the satisfaction players look for when they get the correct email. π ²π »π Ύππ Έπ ½π Ά ππ ·π Ύππ Άπ ·ππ "Murder at the Mansion" is a great example of a simple murder mystery that is both affordable and well structured. This game is good for those times you want to do something with friends at home while sipping a cocktail. There is plenty of evidence to look over that look amazing and fit the theme well. This is not a challenging game but the activities within it will keep players engaged and the deduction element allows for some excellent discussion among friends. Think of this as a game for a night where you want to do something fun, but you donβt want the workout. Relax, sit back, and hopefully you can tease apart what happened the night Charles Blackwood died. You will need a printer, a pair of scissors, tape, a pen/pencil and a device with internet access. Online access includes online website with an automated chat log that utilizes Facebook Messenger. This website consists of Marcosβ communication with you during the game. The hint system is also embedded into the conversation with Marcos. There is a brief introduction with Marcos on the chat before it opens up to the various hints, broken down by the exhibits in the pdf. Once you have the location(s), you simply type it into the chat box and Marcos will provide you with more information to continue or conclude the game. This particular game consists of two parts as you face different obstacles to finding the treasure. The general set up follows a partial non-linear game with specific gating for players. You have a series of exhibits to solve independently first before all their solutions come together to provide the necessary information to solve the final exhibit puzzle in each part. This method lends itself to group work as you can easily divide the puzzling between friends and family. All components do not need printing but some benefit from being able to write on them and but there are a number of pages that specifically have cutting marks that need printing for assembly and manipulation. ππ ·π ΄ π Ώππππ »π ΄π The puzzles for "The Treasure of the Aztecs" were a nice mix of spatial recognition, pattern identification, ciphers, logic puzzles, and more. These are puzzles you have probably seen in some form before but the variety meant I didnβt feel like I was doing the same thing over and over. The puzzles were straight forward so perfect for new or younger players to try out and also a good option for a more experience puzzler looking for a game that wonβt take long on a busy day. The puzzles themselves used some minor elements of the Aztec language to lend itself to the theme but there is no knowledge of Aztec language and history required for this game. We ran into one issue with the chat box when we first started playing but the company responded promptly with an easy βrestartβ function that rebooted the chat box. By now the issue should be resolved. I enjoyed the chat function when it was working because it provides the same satisfaction of opening a lock when Marcos confirms your answer is correct. Another thing to point out was the puzzles themselves lacked strong narrative ties to the story that I feel could have really enhanced the immersion. As it stands, this game has the puzzles at the forefront with the story and theme in the background. π ²π »π Ύππ Έπ ½π Ά ππ ·π Ύππ Άπ ·ππ "The Treasure of the Aztecs" provided my team is an hour of adventure puzzling that gave us some good βahaβ moments and the incentive to keep going as Marcos encouraged us on. I went into this, thinking that it will be similar to the other Print N Play games that Escape Hunt has. This is the only game that I've played that uses a live chat function to check your answers. It made the game a little more interactive, as if you are really talking to a fellow magic student for help but remotely. Almost all of their games will require some kind of cutting and folding, but this is the only game that implemented it throughout the game play and it blended well with the theme and story yet did not feel repetitive at all. In this game, besides the PDF game packet, you will need an email to send a 'message' across, in order to proceed on with the second half of the game. ππ ·π ΄ π Ώππππ »π ΄π The initial task is pretty straightforward. There are 6 facilities in each other representing 6 different puzzles. After solving them, you will receive encoded symbols. Hence, by completing all 6 areas, you might just be able to find out what you'll need to do next. This is where the email component will come handy. As per Escape Hunt's usual standard, there will be some cutting and folding involved and some puzzles that can be solved logically. Something new that I have seen in this edition is that you will need a set of color pencils. If you don't have this perhaps you can use your computer and fill in the areas digitally on the PDF. π ²π »π Ύππ Έπ ½π Ά ππ ·π Ύππ Άπ ·ππ This game was the most difficult one I found out of the ones I've played. I felt that certain puzzles need clarification on what needed to be done. If you require hints, you can visit a specially designed website where they will provide tips on how to solve the puzzles. However, these tips are written ' in character' (meaning it is also vague and not straightforward). They will only tell you what you need to do, but there are no answers or images, especially for those cutting/folding puzzles. Hence, it got a little confusing as there isn't a true way to check your answers. Luckily, you know the answer to each puzzle (at least for the beginning). So if you are stuck even after seeing the hints, perhaps keep a lookout for symbols = Letter will help a little in seeing your solution. The mini game they've created was one of our favorites. We loved that they build their stories around the characters of Mr. Q & Professor BlackSheep because they are simply adorable! "Stolen IQ" was the first of its print + cut series. You'll be given a link to a website that you can use to watch intro videos, input passwords and use self guided hints. There will be no need to search on any other website as everything you need will be given to you at the time of purchase. Professor Blacksheep is always planning evil schemes and this time, we suspect that he has capture our agent Lisa Hammerschmidt. clueQuest's signature is their 3D puzzles and we loved to building them. We can't wait to see what Episode has in store for us! Photo above is property of clueQuest Photo above is property of clueQuest Game: Ep2: Alpha Brain System Date Played: May 18, 2020 Difficulty (based on 4 players): 8.5/10 We have been patiently waiting for Episode 2 to come out and its finally here! Get your scissor ready for this one as there will be a good amount of cutting. I love origami so this game was right up my alley. For people who don't typically like to print and cut, there's a print & post option. This time we invited our friends from "Team Bluefish" to join us as they are avid puzzlers as well. We thought by combining forces we should be able to breeze through this one, boy were we wrong. We had some issues visualizing the first puzzle and it took awhile for us to move on. After the first hurtle we were on a roll. It look us a little less than two hours to complete the game but we felt very satisfied at the end. We love the art work throughout the game. There were definitely some fun moments like the time when we try to "act" out the laser game for no particular reason. As we've discussed above, this company loved to use 3D visualization for puzzles which were awesome to build out, but definitely raised the difficulty level of the game. Since there's no time limit on the game, definitely enjoy solving the puzzles at your own pace. As for us, Episode 3, we are ready for you! Photo above is property of clueQuest Game: Ep3: Humanity 2.0 Date Played: July 21, 2020 Difficulty (based on 2 players): 7.5/10 Here we go again! Episode 3 is here! In this episode, our mission was to find Professor Blacksheep's lair and shut down his weapon. Good thing we have a great team helping us with this assignment (Agent Crimson, MrQ, Lord Hammerschmdit, MrsQ and escaped scientist Frank Erikson). Of course, we can't forget our partners in crime: scissor, printer, pen and notebook! Just like the two previous games, we were greeted by an entertaining intro video. This time we were more prepared and pre-cut the materials and placed them in designated piles. This is because we learned from the past experiences that the timer starts right away as you enter the online portal. The difficulty level for this game felt like in between Ep1 and Ep2. We quite enjoyed the balance. One characteristic we noticed in their games was that they always try to incorporate a video game type of feel to the puzzles. Once you "set up" the game board (most of the time with a 3D visual), you'll be able to "move" the pieces accordingly. Another typical thing you'll see in their games would be the "origami" element. In this game, the "cut and fold" parts were not too difficult and we were pleased by the way they were used as puzzle pieces. We have always been a fan of the graphics. The characters were drawn to have a comic book vibe yet the videos make them come to life. clueQuest is probably one of the quickest companies we've seen during the pandemic to continuously provide online game options for players. In this short amount of time, they've came out with three games but also maintained their quality. We thank them for their hard work and hope they will keep producing these amazing games to keep us entertained. But most importantly, we are very intrigued about what Professor Blacksheep's next evil plan will be! Video above is property of clueQuest We've played all 3 of clueQuest's Print + Cut + Escape game series before so we're quite familiar with the design style. This game ran on the same portal over the website and came with an attached PDF for print and cut. It was quite refreshing to have a new story line that wasn't a continuation of Professor Blacksheep and Agent Hammerschmidth (but we love them and are patiently waiting for their return). As always, definitely print out the pages before pressing the "start" button on the website. A timer will began counting down immediately once you press that button (although there's no limit as to when you'll need to finish the game but if you are competitive, you probably would want to work quickly for that victory screenshot at the end). There were about 20+ pages but some puzzles were able to be visualized over the PDF file so if you wanted to save paper, perhaps see what are the pages that are definitely necessary for printing. In this adventure, you'll encounter puzzles that'll allow you to identify who's a real vampire, piece together a "broken" mind, find out who turned who into a Zombie, and learn to speak like a Zombie. There were a lot of puzzles we felt like we're playing a game of Tangram. If you are lucky to surpass all of these obstacles, there'll be a final exam waiting for you. As usual, the artwork was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the humor in the videos. For anyone who's worried about how scary this game is from a scale of 1-10, it's probably a 1 at most? The end scene earned that scare credit from me. It's definitely more on the comedic side rather than horror. So I would say this is also a game choice that could be enjoyed by kids along with their kids game "timeQuest" below. Photos above are property of clueQuest Photo above is property of clueQuest Game: timeQuest Kids Genre: Adventure, Sci-Fi Difficulty (based on 1 player): 6.5/10 Suggested age(s): 8-13 Too cute! I've always been a fan of clueQuest's artworks for their "Print + Cut + Escape" games but these characters in this kids game were extra adorable! I couldn't even hate on the Supervillains (the Early birds who were the youngest ever member of the Supervillain Organization of the World). Although we couldn't just let them be either so as team members of timeQuest, we had to stop these juvenile villains from causing a catastrophic time paradox that would ultimately destroy the world. Video above is property of clueQuest The format of the game was played the same way as all of their other "Print + Cut + Escape" games. You'll need to download a PDF file and precut what you need (there was a good amount of cutting for a kids game so be prepared for some arts and craft moments) and when everything is ready to go, press the "start" button on the game portal on the internet. You'll get the amazing animated videos (which would definitely capture the attention from the kids) as you solve each chapter of the puzzles. These videos could easily become a cartoon series. There were essentially 3 chapters in the game and the characters will take you through different eras in history all over the world. We always enjoy time travel themes. Although most of the time I would hate to suggest color in print and cuts, we felt like this game needed some to make the character come to life on paper. And since this is a kids game, color would probably make them feel more engaged. But the animated videos were in color so at least you'll see them come to life there! Although this is categorized as a kids game, it's definitely considered more on the difficult side in terms of puzzles from the one's we've played before. We would strongly suggest adult participation for this game. But who knows? We've definitely encountered puzzles where we just couldn't see the solution but a kid would come over and point out the solution right away. Are you ready to be challenged by your kid? Good luck! You can read our reviews on all the other games by searching "clueQuest" on our website. Once you purchase the game, you'll receive a link that will give you access to an online portal. There's a PDF file that you'll need to download from that site. We recommend that you cut all the necessary pieces prior to the game. On the cover page of the PDF, it'll inform you on which pages you'll need to cut and which is just for visual clues. It's best to play this game on a spacious tabletop as some pieces were quite small and could easily get lost or mixed up. You'll need to be a good organizer with this game. There are three chapters in this game. The solutions are to be entered on the website portal. If you are playing with a team over Zoom, your team can use the same login to play the game but the game won't be synced. Each team member will need to enter the password on their own to proceed forward. There's no time limit on when you'll need to complete the game. The timer on the game is mainly to add the urgency feel like you would experience in an real escape room. Photos above are property of clueQuest ππ ·π ΄ π Ώππππ »π ΄π clueQuest's puzzles are usually quite heavy on spatial concepts. Since the backstory of this game is based on rescuing Mr. Q out of a mind trap, you're going to have to "tunnel" through a lot of mazes. There are times where we need to go through lasers, match up shapes, recognize differences, and finally go through a 3D matrix. Some of the puzzle pieces didn't align correctly after comparing with the solution. They were a bit off from where we had to connect and we're not sure if it's because of the different size papers that we were using. One of our teammates is in Europe, the other is in Asia and we're in the US so our paper sizes were all different. There was also one other puzzle that we couldn't match up our answers to the solution given. Good thing there are build-in hints in this game. We definitely needed some pointers on the final puzzle. Photos above are property of clueQuest π ²π »π Ύππ Έπ ½π Ά ππ ·π Ύππ Άπ ·ππ This game will be quite challenging for beginner. Other than having to associate the clues from the artwork (amazing as always by the way), you'll need to think not only in 2D but sometimes in 3D. Once again there'll be a good amount of cutting involved so you'll have to be a fan of that. ClueQuest did a great job with the story line this time. We really felt like we took a journey in his brain and was fighting get out of the crazy traps that the coma is supposedly creating for us. Teamwork was essential with this game. Since we can't bypass puzzles, we worked together in a linear fashion. If you can gather teammates that are great at visualization, it will definitely help you out in this game. This game was full of great artwork with cute characters and storyline. Each chapter began with a video that made me smile, which was necessary since the game itself was very challenging and they gave us time to recharge between puzzles. There was a broad variety of paper puzzles which I really liked, both aligning and overlaying but also more intricate use of the paper and cutouts. It is specified for each puzzle what components you needed to solve it, which was great since we had printed a lot and cut out many little pieces. It was however not always clear where to begin, by adding some visual hints they could have eliminated a lot of confusion. We spent some time on a puzzle, just to realise when getting a few hints that we had started in the wrong end. The solutions all played into the bigger story, which I enjoyed, but it also meant that we sometimes weren't sure if we had found the right answer or not. The opposite also happened a few times, when we thought we had the correct answer and then realizing that we werenβt even close. All in all itβs a beautiful game with difficult puzzles, donβt be afraid to look at the hints! Mali C. I have played physical escape rooms before, but itβs always been very difficult to get a solid group of friends ready to play - so, I really like this set-up - however, I suppose itβs not catered to random strangers playing with each other - though, I think this could and probably should be a thing! The preparation was neat, I havenβt had to cut anything to be constructive in forever; but then - thatβs where the difficulties started - I am a metric person down to my very core - the βletterβ setting registered as A4 for me, which meant that the print-outs were not entirely to scale - which in turn made it a bit difficult to solve the puzzles. I think thatβs all I have to criticize. Now, all the good stuff - I am so focused on solving puzzles, I hardly pay attention to the plot anymore - this puzzle kept looping me back in, the clues and the solutions are linked into the theme. The puzzles are of close-to frustrating difficulty - which I like, but this is also fueled by the fact that my prints were not to scale. This forced the hints - you can get 3 of them or ask for the solution - naturally, that takes away from the experience but if you must you can choose to be guided along - thatβs neat. So, overall - great escape! - I would love for it to become a thing, where player from all over the world can just join like the do for any other MMORPG - itβs a great way to stay connected AND do things the old-school way. Would recommend and play again! The recent games from clueQuest has definitely started to cut down on the pages you'll need to print and there's less cutting as well. The online platform is the same as their previous games. You'll be using the online portal for the storyline (this one was really cute and was told from a robot's perspective) and for entering the solutions. We ended up not having to use any hints and was able to complete it within the hour. Perhaps it's also because of the theme of the puzzles as it was more relatable to couples discovering similarities and differences amongst themselves. Since clueQuest proud themselves on their artwork (amazing job once again), they really utilized this in their puzzles this time. You'll find that there's a lot of implementation of "search and find" and "spot the differences". Everyone was very EGG-CITED and I can not keep going with the EGG puns in this review any longer. I think the game used up every single EGG pun I can think off. It was a great idea to incorporate that into the narrative as we loved the laughter that resonated with the team throughout the game play. The game also provided us with a lot of hand drawn characters and images that were animated into videos. The quality of the characters and videos improves in every single one of clueQuests games. In this game, you'll meet a very familiar face, robot MM7. I've grown to become big fans of these characters. I hope one day they make them into plushies. The attention to detail in the drawings has always been something clueQuest was able to employ correctly into their games. In this game it was less "search and find" but more subtle hints on sequence and order. Pros: -Production values on the videos were high, graphics were really well done. -the game worked seamlessly. Instructions were clear - Puzzles were of medium difficulty and well designed. - good aha moments -while producing some fun puzzles, the cutting was not complicated Cons: -itβs a print and cut, and some of the puzzles were definitely dependent on being printed. This could be a challenge for printerless people. Helen B. I had heard of ClueQuest a long time ago when they opened a physical room in London but hadn't managed to get there yet, so given the opportunity to play one of their virtual escapes was an offer I couldn't miss! I also really like print n cut games as you have something "offline" to interact with, and everyone is working together but at their own pace. This was a bulky print! Apart from the cover and the instruction pages it is definitely worth printing every page. The graphics are very high quality and fun in style, very on-brand! You play along on the site which includes some absolutely EGGscrutiatingly bad puns, and enter the answers there. From the very first puzzle it was clear there was very clever use of the printed parts to form puzzles. The necessary manipulations and interactions with the paper are not too complicated but very cleverly done. There is a real variety of puzzle types too including some that were very original. Mazes, images, mazes, pattern and sequencing as well as paper manipulation. After pretty much every puzzle we remarked on how clever it had been. There is at least one audio puzzle that relies on listening for the answer, so headphones are recommended. Due to this fact, the police suspects that there will be more murders to come as his '7 sins" have not yet been completed. Video above is property of My Mystery Party ππ ·π ΄ π Άπ °π Όπ ΄ π Ώπ »π °π The "7 Sins Slayer" is a murder mystery game where you will be watching videos of witness statements, reading their background and whereabouts at the time of the crime, analyzing autopsy/crime lab reports and other forms of documents to eventually establish the motive and alibi of each suspect until you can narrow it down to the killer. The game is broken into 2 rounds and there is a handy guide to suggest what you should investigate first. Feel free to not follow it and investigate according to your own plan. However, this game has A LOT of information so beginners might want to follow their recommended order. There are also templates to download, such as filling in the timeline of every suspect/incident. These are optional and you can choose to not do so if you don't want to lower the difficulty of the game. After you feel that you have gotten the answer, there is a PDF file that will explain to you every single aspect of the case, such as why Suspect X is not the killer. It is really a comprehensive file to ensure that every loose end is covered on the path to unmasking the truth. Photo above are property of My Mystery Party ππ ·π ΄ π Ώππππ »π ΄π This isn't exactly a puzzle game, but more of a deduction game. I would say the closest resemblance to a puzzle will be a logic puzzle? Like if you discovered that someone isn't present a few miles away from the crime scene, it means he is not the murderer. That is about it, with some slight references to the 7 sins. So there is a bit of matching to see which victim falls under what category, but it is mostly deduction and elimination based on the information and facts that you gather. π ²π »π Ύππ Έπ ½π Ά ππ ·π Ύππ Άπ ·ππ I have played a fair share of games from Murder Mystery companies such as Hunt A Killer, Unsolved Case Files and Murder Mystery Parties. "Catch A Killer" by My Mystery Party will fall on 2 ends of the spectrum, depending on what kind of player you are. For those who love murder mysteries, I personally feel "Catch A Killer: 7 Sins Slayer" blows all of the other games I have out of the way. It is not just a game, it feels ridiculously real. The amount of effort and time taken, wow, I am not sure how they manage to find a writer to write a killer case like this with that much information and still not write themselves into a loophole. For those who have played the games that I mentioned earlier, just imagine the amount of text from those to be multiplied by 3x or 4x and somehow, everything still links together and there is a satisfying conclusion to the case. Of course, the entire game is not just words - there are maps, diagrams, pictures and videos to make this case a truly memorable one for me and it is the closest thing to solving a real life case. Highly recommended for those who like deduction. But be prepared, for there is a lot of information that you will have to sort through and definitely carve out enough time because you will definitely need more than one evening for this game (unless you play through the entire night, which I did).
